What a week!

A host of media practitioners and journalists converged on Dakar for more than a week to attend a series of events including ;
- The highly attended meeting of heads of media outfits.
- The Mo Ibrahim events (From November 9-11 The Mo Ibrahim Foundation held its democracy weekend in Dakar). Key activities included , a public musical concert showcasing great musical talents and savoir faire of some African artists, a prize award ceremony and the public discussion on the African youths.

On the sideline, Cameroon's Minister of Communication and the Spokesperson for the government granted an audience to Cameroonian Journalists based in Senegal (CAMJOSEN).It was an ocassion to exchange ideas regarding the practice of journalism by journalists in the diaspora and to brainstorm in view of the upcoming 'Etats generaux de la comunication" to hold in December 2012 back in Cameroon.(above- Mary maimo,Mabi Azefor,Godlove Kamwa, Eva, Lilianne Nyatcha,Minister Issa Tchiroma,Nathalie Wakam, George Esunge, Ambassador Koe Ntonga)

At the Cameroonian Embassy, Cameroon's Ambassador Jean Koe Ntonga organised a dinner, in honour of Cameroon's Minister of Comunication Issa Tchiroma as well as some Cameroonian journalists based in Senegal. He encouraged the work being done by all and called on all to continue to use their skills towards building Cameroon.Photo credits; Mabi
